Our Team
Senior Attorney
Practicing in corporate and commercial law, Shoib has developed a practice focused on health professionals, primarily with respect to:
- Sale and acquisition of dental clinics, medical clinics, optometry clinics, pharmacies, and other professional practices;
- Professional incorporations;
- Business successions;
- Corporate planning and reorganizations to maximize corporate tax efficiency;
- Estate and retirement planning; and
- Negotiation and drafting of various corporate and commercial contracts.
Melissa joined Medicaloi in 2023 as an articling student and has continued her career with the firm following her call to the Barreau du Québec in 2024. She is recognized for her rigor, responsiveness, and unwavering client-first approach.
At Medicaloi, Layal mainly assists clients in business and commercial law, more specifically in corporate buy-sell and merger transactions, in the drafting of various contracts, and in the execution of due diligence mandates. Prior to joining Medicaloi, Layal practiced with numerous law firms in both corporate law and commercial litigation.
Holder of a bachelor’s and a master’s degrees in law, Mr. Duchatellier-Nadeau is a senior legal analyst who joined the firm in 2025 as Director of Corporate Services.
Quebec Bar candidate, Michael Di Iorio drafts and reviews contracts, including service and lease agreements for healthcare professionals. He supports medical and dental clinic transactions and ensures compliance with professional orders and Santé Québec.
At MÉDICALOI, Nazim is a corporate and transactional paralegal. He works closely with the firm’s lawyers, drafts and reviews contracts including commercial leases, and supports corporate and commercial transactions.
Practicing as a paralegal for 40 years in numerous areas of law, Maria has provided support to her superiors and colleagues in the following fields: Corporate and commercial law, Litigation, Successions and Family Law, Intellectual Property.
